Women's Lacrosse Opens NCAA Tournament Against Salisbury

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) women's lacrosse team will head to Hamilton College and a first-round matchup with No. 11 Salisbury University in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The Pride and Gulls will square off on Saturday, May 13 in Clinton, N.Y. with the winner to play host and eighth-ranked Hamilton.

The matchup pits a pair of automatic qualifiers. The Pride topped Elms on Saturday to capture its fifth straight NECC Tournament title while Salisbury (13-5) upset No. 9 York (Pa.) in the Capital Athletic Conference championship to claim its 17th CAC title. The opening round game marks the first head-to-head meeting between both teams.

The Pride will be competing in its third straight NCAA Tournament looking to advance for the first time in program history. Regis enters the dance with a 15-4 record, the most wins in program history.

The winner will take on Hamilton on Sunday, May 14 for a chance to advance to one of four regional sites.
