Framingham, Mass. – The Regis (Mass.) women's lacrosse team closed the regular season with a road tilt at Framingham State, falling to the Rams 17-8 on Saturday at Maple Street Field. The Pride (13-4) now sets its sights on next week's New England Collegiate Conference postseason tournament.

Kerri Anselmo (Natick, Mass.) scored a team-high three goals with Ariana Woodley (Norwood, Mass.) adding two more.

Framingham State received a combined 10 goals from the duo of freshmen Grace Gamache (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Nicole Pacheco (Woburn, Mass.) as the Rams established a new program record for victories.

With the win, the Rams close the regular season at 11-6.

Gamache led all scorers with six goals and an assist, while Pacheco tallied four goals and recorded a helper. Junior Kimmy Foley (Mansfield, Mass.) added two goals and an assist. Sophomore Shae Riley (Fairhaven, Mass.) and senior Lindsay Nixon (Woburn, Mass.) chipped in with a goal and an assist.

The Rams built a 7-1 lead in the first half. Gamache scored the first two goals of the game off feeds from Nixon. Junior Kristen Keenan (Methuen, Mass.) followed with an unassisted tally and Riley made the score 4-0. Pacheco added an unassisted marker and Gamache found the back of the net for her third of the game.

Anselmo got the pride on the board with 16 minutes remaining in the half with an unassisted goal and Nixon found the back of the net for the 7-1 lead for the Rams.

The Pride closed the half with a 5-1 run to head to the half trailing 8-6. Woodley tallied a pair of goals on the run.

The Rams opened the second half with three straight goals to extend their lead back to five, 11-6 and extended the lead to as many as nine in the second half.

Sophomore Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) recorded the win in net for the Rams and made five saves, while Maresa Malcolm (Barrington, N.J.) made 10 stops for the Pride.

The NECC Tournament bracket will be announced next week with the entering with the league's top regular season record.
