PRIDE CONCLUDES SEASON WITH TEAM AWARDS

Weston, Mass.--The Regis College women's lacrosse program recently held its annual end-of-season awards dinner this past week. The Pride celebrated numerous initial and paramount performances for the season. The Pride finished the season on a strong note with the squad tallying a program record of four wins and twelve losses.

In 2011, the Pride won its first ever conference game, defeating fellow The Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Anna Maria College. Statistically the Pride rewrote the programs record book for the 2011 season. The pride tallied a total of 115 goals on the season. This total eclipsed the previous record of 56 goals set during the 2010 campaign.

Busiek was selected as an honorable mention for the TCCC All-conference team.  Busiek's strong play this season garnered her two more Regis Athletic Awards. She was awarded the Most Outstanding First-Year Female Athlete Award and Most Valuable Player for the women's lacrosse team. The Pride as a whole took home the TCCC sportsmanship award for the first time in program history.
The team announced the 2011-team award winners and leadership council at its end of season award dinner.
