PRIDE SET TO TAKE ON BISON AND HAWKS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s lacrosse team is set to play two games this week. The Pride will first compete Wednesday (Apr. 20) against Nichols College. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 4-10 and are 1-8in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Bison enter the contest with an overall record of 3-10 and are 2-7 in TCCC play.

The Pride is led by Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic) who currently has a team high in goals with 35. Busiek played well in the Pride’s win against Anna Maria College tallying five goals in the game.  Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose) will also look to help the Pride out in the scoring department. Crevier is currently second on the team in total goals scoring 28 on the season. Crevier had a season best tallying six goals against the Amcats last week.

The Pride’s defense is led by Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) and Meghan Ryan (Stow, Mass./Iona College) who have split time in goal this season.  Murray and Ryan have combined to tally 144 saves on the season.

The Bison are led by Krista-Jean Forand  (Plymouth, Mass./Hebron) who currently has a team high of 37 goals. Toni Minelli (Newington, Conn./Newington) is a secondary goal scorer for the Bison tallying 22 on the season and dishing out three assists.

Danielle Mott (Cranston, R.I./Cranston) and Jennifer Brigham (Bristol, R.I./ Bristol) have spilt time in goal for the Bison tallying a combined 135 saves. Mott and Brigham will be the backbone to the Bison’s defensive game.

The game will be a home contest for the Pride with a start time set for 3:30 p.m.

The Pride’s second Game of the week is Saturday (Apr. 23) against Roger Williams University. The Hawks enter the contest with an overall record of 10-5 and are 7-2 in TCCC play.

The Hawks are led by Claire Halliday (Trenton, N.J. / The Hun School of Princeton) who currently has a team high of 52 goals on the season. Danica Delia (Norwalk, Conn. / Brien McMahon) leads the team in total point on the season with 82. Delia has amassed a total of 45 goals and 37 assists on the season. The Hawks defense is led by Justine Sullivan (Norwell, Mass. / Norwell) who has tallied 109 saves on the season.

The game will be an away match for the Pride and is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
