BUSIEK SCORES SIX IN WIN OVER AMCATS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women's lacrosse team defeated Anna Maria College Saturday (Apr. 16) by the score of 13-8. The Pride improves to 4-10 overall on the season and is 1-8 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Amcats move to 1-12 overall on the season and 0-8 in TCCC play.

The Pride was led by Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic).  Busiek led the team in goals scored with six on the game and helped out on defense by tallying six ground balls.  Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose) played well for the Pride tallying five goals and one assist.  The Pride had a solid offensive performance from Tana DiCenso (Framingham, Mass./Marian) who chipped in with two goals.

The Pride was led on defense by Meghan Ryan (Stow, Mass./Iona College) and Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) who split time in goal for the Pride. Murray tallied six saves on the game and Ryan tallied seven.

The Amcats were led by Katie Schebel who tallied a team high of four goals on the game. Amanda Hevy chipped in with two goals for the day, while Mackenzie Coakley and Heidi Toce tallied one goal apiece. The Amcats were led on defense by Fabienne Jules who tallied seven saves on the game.

The Pride's next game is Wednesday (Apr. 20) against Nichols College.

The Amcats next matchup is Monday (Apr. 18) against Pine Manor College.
