PRIDE SET TO PLAY SEAHAWKS AND WILDCATS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s lacrosse team is set to play two games this week. The Pride’s first game of the week is Tuesday (Apr. 12). The Pride will be playing against Salve Regina University.  The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 2-9 and is 0-7 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Seahawks enter the contest with an overall record of 4-8 and are 2-5 in TCCC play.

The Pride is led by Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic).Busiek has a team high in points and groundballs with 28 points and 56 groundballs. Tana Dicenso (Framingham, Mass./Marian) will look to help the Pride add goals on offense. Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose) has played well from the draw circle in the past few games.  Crevier will look to improve her draw percentages and give the Pride more scoring opportunities.  

The Pride has had strong goalie play from its duo of goalies Meghan Ryan (Stow, Mass./Iona College) and Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass./Bishop Fenwick).   Murray and Ryan have combined for a total of 113 saves on the season.

The Seahawks are led by Kelly Burke (Chelmsford, Mass./ Chelmsford) who currently leads the team in points with 49 goals and 33 assists.

The Seahawks defense is led by Natalie Balletta (Leominster, Mass./Leominster)   who is the main shot stopper for the Seahawks. Balletta has tallied 146 saves on the season.

The game is to be played at Regis College and set for a 7:00 p.m. start.

The second game of the week for the Pride is Thursday (Apr. 14) against Wheelock College. The Wildcats enter the contest with an overall record of 0-7.

The Wildcats are led by Despina Savvoulides (Norwalk, Conn./ Norwalk) who has 10 goals on the season.The Wildcats defense is led Alexandra Perry (Malden, Mass./ Malden) who has tallied 35 saves on the season.

The contest is set for a 7:00 p.m. start and will be held at the Regis Athletic fields.
