BUSIEK SCORES SIX IN LOSS TO CHARGERS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women's lacrosse team was defeated by Colby-Sawyer College Saturday (April. 2) by the score of 9-20. The Pride moves to 1-7 overall on the season and is 0-5 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Chargers move to 5-5 overall on the season and 3-2 in TCCC play.

The Pride was led by Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic) and Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose) who were the Pride's leading scorers for the day. Busiek finished with a team high of six goals in the game. Crevier had a strong day tallying three goals and one assist.

The Pride's defense was led by Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) who tallied 15 saves in the 60 minutes played.  Andrea Barbosa (Taunton, Mass./Taunton) helped out the defensive tallying two groundballs.

The Chargers were led by Laurel Bauer (Bradford, N.H. / Tilton) and Brittney Murphy (Woburn, Mass. / Woburn ) who each tallied a team high of four goals in the game. Molly Prudden (Andover, Mass. / Proctor Academy ) chipped in with three goals for the Chargers.

On defense the Chargers were led by Liz Malenfant (Siasconset, Mass. / White Mountain School) who started the game and tallied five saves.  Ekta Sampson (Hyde Park, Vt. / Peoples Academy) came in the second period to make one save on three shots faced.

The Pride's next matchup is Monday (April. 4) against Elms College.

The Chargers next matchup is Wednesday (April. 6) against Curry College.
