BUSIEK NAMED REGIS COLLEGE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Athletic Department is proud to announce the student athlete of the week.  Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic) was chosen as the student athlete of the week for her solid performance in the Pride’s season opener Thursday (Mar. 10) against Becker College.

Busiek led the Pride in scoring by tallying three goals in the first half of the game. She would continue to put the ball past the Hawk’s goalie Alena Phongsa (Putnam, Conn.) scoring two goals in the second half.  This put Busiek’s total for the game at five.  Busiek currently holds the team high in goals with five on the season.

Busiek will look to add to her scoring total later in the week when the Pride takes on Emmanuel and Endicott College.The Pride’s next matchup is against Emmanuel College Thursday (Mar. 17) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. The contest is set to start at 6:00 p.m.
