Lam played three years of varsity volleyball and three years of varsity basketball at Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, Md. He helped the volleyball team reach the state semifinals in three straight seasons. He received the State of Maryland Scholar-Athlete Award.
Club:
Lam participated with the Maryland Volleyball Program for two years, including the 2017-18 season as team captain. He helped his team finish in second place in the Bronze Flight of the East Coast Championships.
Personal:
Born in Washington, D.C., Lam is the son of Katie and Tony Lam. He has an older brother named Matthew and a younger sister named Sydney. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering with minors in mathematics and biology. He is part of the Washington Chinese Youth Community (CYC).
