Men’s Swim & Dive Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Coming off a second place finish at the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming and Diving Championships, the Regis College men's swimming and diving team has been selected as a Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), announced Monday, Feb. 5, by the national organization.

The Regis College men were one of 149 Scholar All-America Teams in NCAA Division III after compiling a Fall 2023 grade point average of 3.35. The Pride are one of two GNAC men's squads to receive the award along with the University of Saint Joseph.

This past weekend at the GNAC Championships in Worcester, Mass., the Pride collected seven individual and five relay All-GNAC awards. Cody Werner (Bettendorf, Iowa) won the GNAC title in the 50 butterfly and also earned All-GNAC recognition in the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly, and all four relays he participated in.

Aryaman Nagaraj (Watertown, Mass.) received All-GNAC honors in the 200 backstroke, 50 backstroke, and three different relays, while Ryan Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.) collected All-GNAC recognition in the 50 breaststroke and four different relays.

Liam Austin (Boston, Mass.) and Michael Zammuto (Burlington, Mass.) earned one All-GNAC award apiece in the diving events, with Zammuto also picking up four All-GNAC honors in relays. Samuel Madriz (Union, N.J.) participated in all five relays and earned All-GNAC awards for those efforts.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
