WINTHROP, Mass. – The Regis College men's swimming and diving team swept the weekly awards from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), as senior Joshua Unas (Santa Clarita, Calif.) was named GNAC Male Swimmer of the Week and freshman Kevin Dugue (Roslindale, Mass.) received the GNAC Rookie of the Week award, announced Monday by the league office.

This past Saturday against Bridgewater State, Unas won the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:01.29, earned second-place finishes in the 50 breaststroke in 29.36 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.00, and anchored the 200 freestyle relay with a 50 free split of 23.80 seconds. This is the second straight week Unas has received a weekly award, as he was named NEISDA Male Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 24.

Dugue earned Regis's other event victory at Saturday's meet at Bridgewater State, winning the 50 backstroke in 28.57 seconds, more than two seconds ahead of his nearest competitor and now sixth on Regis's all-time top times list. Dugue also finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.07, and he swam the third leg of the 200 freestyle relay, posting a 50 free split of 23.47 seconds, best among the four Pride relay swimmers.
