WINTHROP, Mass. - For the fourth time of the 2017-2018 season, Regis (Mass.) men's swimming & diving senior Nick Rainville (Reading, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.
In a tri-meet versus Husson and Bridgewater State, Rainville won a trio of events for the Pride. He finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (54.14) and 100-yard freestyle (49.44), and won the 200-yard free relay (1:35.81).
Rainville previously received the honor on October 23, October 30, and November 20. He is the first four-time GNAC Swimmer of the Week this season between men's and women's swimming.
The men's and women's swimming & diving teams' regular seasons are now in the books, and the Pride has two and a half weeks off until the start of the New England Championships, set to commence on February 15 at the University of Rhode Island.
