WESTON, Mass.-The Regis College men's and women's swimming teams competed in day two of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the Upper Valley Aquatics Center. The men's squad posted an overall points score of 258 and finished 5th out of 13 teams, While the women's team tallied 127 points and finished 18th out of 22 schools.
Doug Dunbar (Danvers, Mass.) finished 12th in the 200-yard freestyle capping a new personal best. McGovern returned to compete in the 100-yard breaststroke and broke the Regis record by notching a 12th place finish. McGovern, Dunbar, Zach Earl (Mexico, N.Y.), and Andy LaForest (Roslindale, Mass.) rounded out the day of competition for the Pride by shattering the 800 freestyle medley.
The Pride returns for day three of the NEISDA Championships on Sunday and will look to continue with strong finishes in all of the events.
