Pride Cross Country Continues Season at Smith Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Regis College cross country team continued its 2023 season at the Smith Invitational, hosted by Smith College on campus Saturday, Sept. 9.

The Pride women were led by Libby Parker (Bow, N.H.), who finished in 62nd place overall with a five-kilometer time of 23:47.36. Elizabeth Stevenson (Scituate, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 72nd place overall with a time of 24:57.83, followed by Jonnie Charest (Methuen, Mass.) in 77th place at 25:43.32.

Annabelle Jean-Philippe (Randolph, Mass.) completed the course with a time of 26:22.90 to end up in 84th place overall. Olivia Rosano (Methuen, Mass.) finished 88th in 26:58.40, just ahead of Katie Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) in 89th place with a time of 27:13.02.

On the men's side, Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished in 34th place overall with a time of 18:18.39. Zach Sigman (Buffalo, N.Y.) ended up in 40th place with a time of 18:54.83, and Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.) posted a time of 23:55.33, close to the time he ran at this exact event last year.

The Regis College cross country team will see Franklin Park in Boston for the first time this season as it competes at the Codfish Bowl Meet Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 12 p.m.
