Curtin Named GNAC Runner of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.), a senior on the Regis (Mass.) women's cross country team, has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Runner of the Week.

Curtin becomes the first runner to be named the GNAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week twice in the 2017 season. The senior previously won the award on September 18.

Curtin placed fourth (19:40) in the 5K out of a field of 210 runners on Saturday at the Saints Invitational. The team finished in sixth place out of 22 teams competing on the afternoon, beating every Great Northeast Athletic Conference team competing aside from the hosts from Emmanuel.

Curtin and the Pride will be off for nearly a week and a half before traveling to Bristol, R.I. for the GNAC Championships on October 28 at Colt State Park. The women's race is slated to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
