Women's Track and Field Claims GNAC Weekly Honors Sweep

WINTHROP, Mass. – Regis College Women's Track and Field swept the Great Northeast Conference (GNAC) weekly awards following standout performances at the J. Elmer Swanson Invitational this past Saturday. Sophomores Aleyo Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) and Janet Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) were named Athletes of the Week, with Aleyo earning the track honor and Janet securing the field recognition, while Aubrey Heise (Mattapoisett, Mass. ) claimed Rookie of the Week honors.

Aleyo Amasa-Titus delivered an impressive performance across multiple events, securing top-ten finishes in three track competitions. The sophomore placed seventh in both the 200m (27.39) and 400m (1:02.53). She also contributed to the third-place 4x100 relay team, which clocked a time of 52.59. In the field events, Amasa-Titus earned a sixth-place finish with a long jump of 5.10m.

Sophomore Janet Amasa-Titus secured her spot at the Division III New England Championships with a personal-best long jump of 5.17m, setting a new milestone for the Georgetown, Massachusetts native.

First-Year Aubrey Heise was the top finisher in the 800m at the J. Elmer Swanson Invitational this weekend as she finished 1.63 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, setting a new program record of 2:24.79. She also competed in the 200m, where she posted a time of 28.03, earning 16th overall.

The trio will return to the track this weekend with their team at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
