As a Sophomore:
Indoor: Placed second (8.34) in the 60 meter dash at the Panther Invitational...placed third (8.11) in the 60 meter dash at the Wes;eyan Invitational. Outdoor: Placed 13th (52.09) in the 4x100 relay and 15th (4:17.22) in the 4x400 relay at the New England Outdoor Championships...Won the 4x100 (50.41) and 4x400 (50.41) relay events at the GNAC Championships while also finishing second (27.79) in the 200 meter.

Bernice is a 2016 graduate of Killingly High School, where she participated in three years of varsity field hockey and indoor and outdoor track...was named an honorable mention on the league All-Star team as a senior in field hockey and won the Eastern Connecticut Conference Sportsmanship Award...won the same ECC Sportsmanship Award in indoor track as a sophomore and in outdoor track as a junior and senior...won the Killingly High School Joe Norton Student-Athlete Award...captained her field hockey team as a senior and both indoor and outdoor track as a junior and a senior
