BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Regis College lost to Bridgewater State University, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference women's collegiate tennis match at the Rosen Memorial Tennis Courts.
Senior Harmony Lopez (Carlsbad, N.M.) won the most games overall, first teaming with Akshita Duvvuri (Chennai, India) at number one doubles to battle the Bears' top team of Sarah Pothier and Morgan Smith before losing, 8-3. At number one singles, Lopez stayed with Meghan Lotti before falling in straight sets (6-3, 6-3).
Alexandra Nicholls-Millen (Natick, Mass.) teamed with Shalom Njau (Worcester, Mass.) at number two doubles as they took two games off Bridgewater State's duo. At number four singles, Nicholls-Millen won three games before dropping her match in straight sets (6-1, 6-2).
Regis College (0-1) is scheduled to host Roger Williams University Thursday, Sept. 5, starting at 4 p.m. at the Regis Tennis Courts.
