REGIS COLLEGE WOMEN'S TENNIS FALL 2024 SCHEDULE
WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College women's tennis team has finalized its competition schedule for the fall 2024 season, which features its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches as well as the GNAC Women's Tennis Tournament.
The Pride open the 2024 season next Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Bridgewater State starting at 3:30 p.m. The home opener for Regis takes place Thursday, Sept. 5, against Roger Williams beginning at 4 p.m., followed by a match at Nichols College Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m.
The team will head to Providence, R.I., to face Rhode Island College Thursday, Sept. 12, starting at 3:30 p.m. Regis begins its GNAC slate with a home contest against Simmons University Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. The Pride have defeated the Sharks in the semifinals of the GNAC Women's Tennis Tournament in each of the last three seasons.
After a trip to West Hartford, Conn., to face University of Saint Joseph Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m., Regis will host UMass Dartmouth Thursday, Sept. 26, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Pride will celebrate Regis Fest by hosting defending GNAC champion Colby-Sawyer Saturday, Sept. 28, at 12 p.m. before closing out the regular season at Albertus Magnus the following Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 12 p.m.
The top four teams in the final regular season standings will qualify for the 2024 GNAC Women's Tennis Tournament, with the semifinals taking place Saturday, Oct. 12, followed by the championship match Saturday, Oct. 19, at the highest remaining seed. Regis, picked third in the preseason coaches' poll, has advanced to the title contest of the league tournament in each of the last three seasons.
Regis College sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports, including women's tennis, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
