Beatrice, Connor, Gevry Selected CSC Academic All-District

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College continues to place student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams, as three members of the Pride women's tennis team have been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District® Division III Women's Tennis Team, announced Tuesday, May 9, by College Sports Communicators.

Junior Stephanie Beatrice (Rockland, Mass.) earned seven singles victories and 10 doubles wins during the 2022-23 season. She was undefeated in the spring, winning in both singles and doubles against Salve Regina and Curry to help the Pride reach 10 overall victories for the 10th consecutive competition season.

In the classroom, Beatrice is majoring in elementary education and humanities and held a 3.87 grade point average after the fall 2022 semester. A 2021-22 Academic All-GNAC selection and a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree, she is also one of the top student workers in gameday operations for athletic events.

Junior Nora Connor (Peabody, Mass.) was selected to represent Regis on the 2022-23 GNAC Women's Tennis All-Sportsmanship Team as she earned eight singles victories and seven doubles wins during the year. Working her way into the lineup, she picked up key singles wins over Simmons and University of Saint Joseph to help the Pride post a 5-1 league record.

Connor, earning Academic All-GNAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2021-22, was recently elected Treasurer on the Class of 2024 board within the Student Government Association. After the fall 2022 semester, she held a 3.65 cumulative grade point average, majoring in supply chain management.

Sophomore Samantha Gevry (Dudley, Mass.) earned Second Team All-GNAC recognition in singles for the second straight year as well as First Team All-GNAC honors in doubles. Slotted into the number four singles position and number one doubles spot during the fall, she went 5-0 in both singles and doubles, helping the Pride advance to the title match of the GNAC Tournament for the second consecutive season.

A nursing major, Gevry held a 3.98 cumulative grade point average after the fall 2022 semester. She has also become involved within the Regis Student Government Association (SGA), as she was elected Vice President for the Class of 2025.

Regis College has now been represented by 21 student-athletes on various College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams so far in 2022-23. Beatrice, Connor, and Gevry will advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team honorees to be announced June 1.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including women's tennis, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
