Regis Women’s Tennis Cruises to Dual Match Win

WESTON, Mass. – Playing on its home courts for the first time this spring, the Regis College women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Wentworth Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference dual match at the Regis Tennis Center.

The three doubles teams for Regis lost only four games combined in sweeping the doubles points, starting with an 8-2 victory for Carly Donovan (Harwich, Mass.) and Katelyn Mogelnicki (Wethersfield, Conn.) to improve their season record as a duo to 11-1. Katasha Jarvis (Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) and Ariana McCormack (Worcester, Mass.) added another victory to their program career record, 8-1, and Oriana Attridge (Westwood, Mass.) picked up her first career collegiate victory, joining with Ginger Boodakian (Burlington, Mass.) for an 8-1 win.

Mogelnicki did not lose a game in winning her singles match, and then Regis clinched the overall contest when Kaitlyn Colby (Merrimac, Mass.) picked up a victory at number six singles in straight sets (6-1, 6-0). McCormack also won her singles contest without losing a game as all six Pride victories came in straight sets.

Regis (11-7) hosts Salve Regina Friday, March 29, at 3:30 p.m. Before the match, Jarvis will be honored with a Senior Day presentation.
