Men's & Women's Tennis Open Fall Camp

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) men's and women's tennis teams were back on the courts for the first time on Saturday afternoon as they opened their 2017 fall camps at the Regis Tennis Center.

The tennis teams were the final fall sports to open their 2017 training camps after men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, field hockey and women's volleyball all opened camp on Monday.

The teams practiced together and training began with the teams running agility drills. Following the warmup, the players got out their rackets for their first swings at their home court of the season. A significant portion of the practice was focused on serving. The first practice concluded with more sprints, led by assistant coach Andy White.

"Everyone worked hard in practice today," said head coach John Ciarleglio. "We got a lot of things accomplished. We got to watch some of the new players and figure out maybe who's going to be where. It was just great."

Both the men's and women's teams open their season in under two weeks against Eastern Nazarene. The women open on Wednesday, Sept. 6 on the road in Quincy, before the men welcome the Lions to Weston for their season opener on Friday, Sept. 8.
