REGIS MATCHES BEST SEASON WITH 15TH WIN

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's tennis team earned their 15th victory of the season defeating non-conference opponent Smith College 6-3 during a Sunday matinee tennis match. With the loss, the Pioneers drop to 4-7 on the year.

Junior Emily Rice (Pittsfield, Mass.) was the swing match at no. 3 singles defeating her opponent in a three set tiebreaker 4-6, 6-0, 10-5 giving Regis some momentum. Senior captain Jewel Medeiros (Rochester, Mass.) delivered the deciding point taking 5th singles 6-0, 6-3 which wrapped up the Pride victory. Newcomer Katasha Jarvis (Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) earned a victory at no. 4 singles with a 6-4, 6-3 win.

Regis returns to the court in a few weeks when they travel away to Franklin Pierce for their last road matchup of the season on April 8th with game time slated for 2:00 p.m.
