REGIS FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA, 9-0

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Regis College women's tennis team opened up their spring break schedule this afternoon with a non-conference match against Susquehanna University, which the Crusaders won by a score of 9-0.

Shelby O'Reilly (Ware, Mass.) and Abby Hess (Hughesville, Penn.) of Susquehanna defeated Abigail Wehr (Suwanee, Ga.) and Jewel Medeiros (Rochester, Mass.) in No. 1 doubles, 8-0, while O'Reilly and Hess also recorded victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions, respectively.

The duo of Jessica Klinger (Hummelstown, Penn.) and Brielle Ferlauto (Neshanic Station, N.J.) also defeated Regis' Caroline Roche (Hanover, Mass.) and Kendall Kolb (Plymouth, Mass.) at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-2. Roche was defeated by Klinger at No. 3 singles via set scores of 6-0, 6-0, and Ferlauto won set scores of 6-0, 6-1 over Palmer at No. 4 singles.

"The women's team competed very well today against a team that challenged them in multiple ways," said Coach Ciarleglio. "We fought hard in every point in every match and did not give up until the match was finished."

The Pride will continue their spring break play tomorrow afternoon against Emory and Henry at 2:00 p.m.
