WESTON, Mass. – Regis women's tennis freshman Jazz Hicks (Plymouth, Mass.) has been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference by being named Rookie of the Week, as it was announced by the conference early Monday morning. This marks the third time this season that Hicks has been honored with Rookie of the Week distinction.

Hicks helped lead her team to a three win week over Bay Path, Newbury, and Mitchell as the team captured the number one seed in the upcoming NECC postseason. Along with fellow freshman Abigail Wehr (Suwanee, Ga.), the pair went a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 doubles. Hicks was also unbeaten in singles play, only dropping three sets all week at No. 2 singles en route to a 3-0 record.

The Pride, who currently sit at 11-1 on the year, will host Newbury on Wednesday, Oct. 17th for the NECC Semifinal, with a match time still to be determined.
