WESTON, Mass. – For the second time this season, freshman Jazz Hicks (Plymouth, Mass.) has been named the Rookie of the Week for the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in women's tennis. Hicks helped her team pick up three victories this week to extend their record to a perfect 7-0 (5-0 NECC) on the season.

Jazz finished unblemished, going 3-0 in both singles and doubles play this week. Hicks partnered with fellow rookie Abigail Wehr (Suwanee, Ga.) at No. 1 doubles, and the pair picked up victories over Eastern Nazarene, Newbury, and Mitchell. Playing in No. 2 singles, Hicks picked up consecutive 6-3, 6-1 wins over Eastern Nazarene and Newbury, while also registering a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Mitchell.

The Pride will return to action this evening, as they host conference opponent Becker College at 5:00 p.m.
