DUDLEY, Mass. (Sept. 25) – The Nichols College women's tennis team celebrated Homecoming with a 9-0 victory over visiting Regis College Saturday morning. The Bison dropped only five games in singles play as they improve to 8-1 overall and 7-0 in the TCCC. Regis dips to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in TCCC action.

Catherine Jaworski (Berlin, Vt.) and Erica Tolman (West Rockport, Maine) capped the doubles session with an 8-2 victory over Kunjan Patel (Waltham, Mass.) and Paige Pasley (Dorchester, Mass.).

First year Anna Dyakiv (Amsterdam, N.Y.) won her ninth consecutive match at No. 1 singles, handing Caitlin Fitzgerald (Lynn, Mass.) a 6-0, 6-0 defeat. Maria Balabanova (Moscow, Russia) also stayed undefeated on the year, today playing up at No. 4 singles to defeat Maryjane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass.), 6-0, 6-1. Alex Cifone (Bristol, Conn.) clinched the match up at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Alexandra Kuchera (Waltham, Mass.) to move to 7-0 in TCCC matches. Kelsey Urbanetti (Glastonbury, Conn.) was victorious in her first match of the season, defeating Pasley at the sixth flight, 6-1, 6-1.

Nichols hosts Anna Maria Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. before traveling to Assumption Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Regis hosts Eastern Nazarene Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
