WOMEN'S TENNIS BATTLES IN CONFERENCE PLAY

WESTON, Mass.—Regis College (1-6, 1-5 TCCC) lost its Commonwealth Coast Conference match-up 9-0 versus Curry College (5-3, 3-3 TCCC). Regis College teammates Teanna Montoya and Mary Jane Barron tallied four points against its Curry opponents in doubles play, while Kunjan Patel and Paige Paisley added three more.

The four players would lose their respective doubles matches to Curry 8-4 and 8-3 respectively. Each would score in their singles matches as well. Although the Pride fell to its conference opponent, Regis College is playing stronger each week.

Montoya and Patel are developing into contributable players for the Pride. Barron and Ally Kuchera are the team leaders, but are bringing along the next group of talent nicely.

Regis College won its first conference match earlier this season against Anna Maria College in a 5-4 decision on September 11.

The Pride will continue its conference schedule when it heads to Nichols College (Sept. 25), before returning home to host Eastern Nazarene College (Sept. 29.).
