PRIDE FALLS TO GOLDEN BEARS 0-9
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--- The Regis College women’s tennis team was defeated by Western New England College Wednesday (Sept. 15) by the score of 9-0. The Pride finished the contest with a record of 1-4 while the Golden Bears advance to 2-2.

In singles junior Mary Jane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass./Holy Name) played hard for the Pride but lost to Western New England's Caitlin Hughes (Springfield, Mass.) in third singles by the score of (6-1, 6-1).
Leading the Pride in doubles play were freshman Maryse Emungu (South Burlington, Vt./Rice Memorial) and freshman Paige Pasley (Dorchester, Mass./Fontbonne Academy) who put in a strong effort but lost to the Golden Bears doubles partners Ashley Czeltka (Southampton, NY) and Lori Pagliano (Milford, Conn.) by the score of (8-2).
For Western New England, junior Christina Barbarisi (Feeding Hills, Mass) remained undefeated at number two singles spot by defeating freshman Teanna Montoya (Oak Bluffs, Mass./Martha's Vineyard Regional) by the score of (6-0, 6-0).
