WESTON, Mass.—The Regis College women’s tennis team lost to Becker College Thursday (Sept. 2) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. The Hawks were led by Danielle Stryker (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard) and Shuana McNally (Worcester, Mass./Bourne) winning their doubles match 8-0.
For the Pride, doubles partners Ally Kuchera (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) and Mary Jane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass./Holy Name) scored two points. This was not enough to hold off the Hawks duo of Megan Nessen (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) and Laura Mimms (Ashland, Mass./Ashland).
In singles, freshman Paige Pasley (Dorchester, Mass./Fonntbonne Academy) forced a third game with the Hawks Lianna Woodbury(Dennis, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth). The Pride is set to play Endicott College this Saturday at 12:00 pm. Becker College competes against Clark College Saturday at 2:00 pm.
