September 24, 2009. Quincy, MA. The Eastern Nazarene Lions (2-7/2-5 TCCC) won 5-4 over Regis College's Pride (0-8/0-7 TCCC), in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) match-up on the courts of ENC in Quincy, MA. Friday afternoon.

The Lions Laura Keith (W. Bridgewater, MA) won at #3 singles, starting with a 7-6 first set win.  Regis' Georgia Coward (Hopkinton, MA) came back with a 4-6 win in the second set. But Keith then won the super tiebreaker, 11-9, over the Pride's Coward.  Keith then teamed up with Stephanie Pestilli (Norwell, Mass.) to win at #2 doubles against the Pride's Coward and Caitlin Fitzgerald (Lynn, MA) with an 8-6 win.

Although short of players, the Regis' Pride put up a battle in #1 doubles, as Alexandria Kuchera (Waltham, MA) teamed up with Megan McCarthy (Norfolk, MA) to top Eastern Nazarene's Allison Cammarata (Marion, MA) and teammate Elise Sleeper (Sanford, ME), 3-6. And while the Pride's Megan McCarthy, Caitlin Fitzgerald and Alexandria Kuchera went on to win three of the five played single's matches The Lions came out on top with the 5-4 win.

Eastern Nazarene will be at home next Wednesday, September 30th where they will face TCCC opponent Roger Williams University at 3:30pm, while Regis College will be traveling to Paxton, MA to face Anna Maria College on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009.
