
Regis Collects Multiple Podium Finishes in Day 2 of GNAC Championships
WORCESTER, Mass. – Regis College earned multiple first-place finishes, highlighting its effort and participation in the second day of the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming and Diving Championships held at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.
Liam Austin (Boston, Mass.) earned a first-place finish in the men's 1-meter diving portion, collecting a final score of 307.85, followed by Josh Dion and Michael Zammuto (Burlington, Mass.). Cody Werner (Bettendorf, Iowa) also earned a first-place finish in the men's 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 52.51 seconds. Aryaman Nagaraj (Watertown, Mass.) secured second place in the men's 50-yard backstroke, compiling a time of 27.09, just before completing the 50-yard freestyle in 23.45 to place fourth. Ryan Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.) finished fourth in the men's 100-yard IM at 1:00.10.
The team of Zammuto, Kim, Nagaraj, and Werner placed third overall in the men's 800-yard freestyle relay, while the team of Zammuto, Dion, Kim, and Nagaraj earned a third-place finish in the men's 200-yard freestyle relay.
For the women, Kali Taylor (Brattleboro, Vt.) finished runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:34.58, just six seconds under her preliminary time. Riley Aptt (Woburn, Mass.) clinched third in the 50-yard backstroke at 30.10 seconds. Olivia Luhnau (Castle Rock, Colo.) earned a first-place finish in the women's 100-yard IM at 1:02.99, nearly three seconds quicker than the runner-up, while Ava Hubster (Crown Point, Ind.) placed seventh.
Overall, the women's team ranked fourth with 340 points for the second day, while the men's team improved to second with 135 points.
The 2025 GNAC Swimming and Diving Championships will continue Sunday, Feb. 9, starting with preliminaries at 10 a.m.
