Moran, McQuaid Receive NEISDA Weekly Recognition

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College seniors Ryan Moran (Arlington, Mass.) and Elisabeth McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.) have been named New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Female Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, as the coaches' organization announced its weekly award winners Tuesday afternoon.

In Saturday's dual meet against Albertus Magnus, Moran finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 13:36.95, and then she ended up in first place in the 100 freestyle in 1:09.36. Moran also swam the third leg of the 200 freestyle relay that posted a total time of 2:01.35.

In her final collegiate competition at the Regis Pool, McQuaid posted a five-dive score of 173.48 and a six-dive score of 186.83 for an 11-dive total of 360.31. McQuaid owns all three one-meter pool records as well as the school records in one-meter diving as she prepares for the upcoming championship meets.

This is Moran's first career weekly award, while McQuaid collects her fourth NEISDA weekly award of the season. Moran and McQuaid were two of the six Pride seniors honored before Saturday's meet in a Senior Day presentation.

Regis College (7-1) faces conference rivals Colby-Sawyer College and Simmons University in a double-dual meet Saturday, Jan. 11, starting at 12 p.m. in New London, N.H.
