STANDISH, Maine – The Regis College women's swimming and diving team took the first two spots in the meet-opening 200 medley relay, setting the Pride on their way to a victory over Saint Joseph's College of Maine, 146-109, Saturday afternoon. 

The Pride women were able to pull in two of the top three finishes in the 1000 freestyle, led by Thalia Bowie (Lexington, Mass.) beating her personal season record with a time of 11:54.90. 

In the 50 backstroke, Sarah Leonard (Brockton, Mass.) took home nine points with a final time of 29.55 seconds. She was followed by Kyleigh Boatwright (Roseville, Calif.), who finished in third to earn another three points for the Pride. 

The Pride took home another 13 points as Julia Burke (North Andover, Mass.) broke her 50 breaststroke personal season record. Regis then continued to control the meet by taking three of the top four spots in both the 100 butterfly and the 50 freestyle. 

The top spot of the 100 backstroke was taken by Leonard, who posted a time of 1:04.14 to win the race. Alexa Lancisi (Milford, Mass.), earlier the winner in the 100 butterfly, would take third in the 100 backstroke in 1:07.34. 

Leonard, Burke, and Jessica Zernitsky (Newton, Mass.) each won two events during the meet, with Bowie, Lancisi, and Gloria Sutton (Suffield, Conn.) picking up one individual event victory apiece. With the team victory guaranteed, Boatwright posted the best time in the 100 individual medley in an exhibition swim.
