
SHARKS SWIM PAST PRIDE IN WOMEN’S MEET
Simmons College defeated Regis College, 150-102, on Friday night in a women’s swimming and diving meet held on the campus of Regis College. The event was the final home meet of the year for the Pride, who will take on Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday afternoon in a dual meet.

Shannan O'Neill (Lowell, Mass.) took home first place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.96, while Haley Bowen (Litchfield, N.H.) posted the top time (1:15.62) in the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Pride had a multitude of good swimmers in the pool as Yassyra Diaz (Dorchester, Mass.) came in second in the 200 yard freestyle (2:14.19) and Kelsey-Jane Wright (Lowell, Mass.) came in second in the 50 yard backstroke. Stacy Burns' (Waltham, Mass.) time of 28.49 was good for second in the 50 yard freestyle – finishing only .45 behind the top time. Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass.) came in second in the 100 yard freestyle, while Kelly Finn (Melrose, Mass.) came in second in the 50 yard butterfly.
Regis travels to New London, N.H. tomorrow afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet with the Chargers.
