REGIS HAS TOUGH DAY VERSUS NOR'EASTERS

WESTON, Mass—The second half of back-to-back meets saw the Regis women come up on the short end of the scoreboard against the University of New England.  In falling 137-75, Regis, now 0-3, was once again led by the duo of senior co-captain Lindsay Ranahan (Hingham, MA) and sophomore Christina Estrada (Bellingham, MA).

The duo notched the only victories for the Pride on the day.  Ranahan’s win came in the 200-yard individual medley, while Estrada picked up a pair of wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle events.

The freshman class pitched into the hard fought day by adding depth in several events.  Stacy Burns (Waltham, MA) and Megan Kennelly (Milford, MA) combined with Ranahan and Estrada for a 3rd place finish in the 200 medley relay, while classmate Kelsey-Jane Wright (Lowell, MA) chipped in a 3rd place finish in the 100 free.

The Pride women will train for a week before diving back into the campus pool next Friday night against Plymouth State University.  First splash is 5pm.
