Bio

Bryan Thomason joins the Regis College Women's Soccer staff as a volunteer assistant at the start the 2025 season.  He brings over a decade of coaching experience at the youth, club, and school levels, as well as a background in teaching and mentoring student-athletes.

Thomason’s coaching career includes roles with Mass Youth Soccer, where he has served as a head coach in the District Select Program (U11) and Town Select League (U14), and as an assistant coach with the Olympic Development Program (U14). He has also led teams in Natick Youth Soccer and Watertown Youth Soccer, in addition to several years as the head coach of the middle school girls’ soccer team at Lexington Christian Academy, where he also taught Biblical Studies, Theology, and History.

His coaching philosophy centers on player development over results. Thomason’s goal for every team has been to prepare players for the next step in their soccer journey—whether that’s advancing to a more competitive team, transitioning from middle school to high school competition, or building skills in developmental programs to bring back to their regular teams. Beyond the technical and tactical aspects of the game, he believes soccer teaches valuable life lessons. He uses the sport to instill values such as hard work, perseverance, and teamwork that student-athletes can carry with them beyond the field.

He holds a U.S. Soccer National D License, as well as USSF F and Grassroots certifications (4v4, 7v7, 9v9). Thomason has also completed workshops with the Positive Coaching Alliance and United Soccer Coaches.

Thomason earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Arts in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
