WESTON, Mass. – Regis College battled Johnson and Wales University to a scoreless draw in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer matchup at Regis Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The Pride played man-up just after a red card was distributed to Johnson and Wales in the 5th minute of action. Following the card, Regis pressured the Wildcats defense with Payton Bridge (Norton, Mass.) taking a shot but was unable to find the back of the net.
The Wildcats outshot the Pride 5-1 in the first half, and 9-0 in the second half to lead 14-1 overall.
Cassidy Van Cott (Santa Monica, Calif.) played the entire game in net for Regis making nine saves on 14 total shots by the Wildcats, earning a shutout.
Regis College (7-6-4, 5-3-4 GNAC) is set to travel to Simmons University on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Johnson and Wales University (13-3-0, 11-0-1 GNAC) is scheduled to host Rivier University on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7:00 p.m. for their Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
