Regis Coins 8-1 Victory on Senior Day

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team defeated Anna Maria College in an outstanding 8-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and Senior Day match on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Regis Stadium.

The Pride were able to find the back of the net with five different goal scorers. In the fourth minute of action Payton Bridge (Norton, Mass.) found the back of the net after a penalty kick was called, scoring the first Pride goal of the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Avary Hall (Bloomsfield Hills, Mich.) scored unassisted to advance the Pride lead to two. Hall met Delaney Scanlon (Dracut, Mass.) minutes later with the ball to earn an assist off her goal, increasing the lead to three.

With her goal, Hall tied the single season goals record at 13 with Miya Nishibun from 2021. Hall also bypassed Nishibun and Adena Joseph, the initial record holder in 2011, for total points in a single season. Hall now has 29 points so far this season.

The Pride collected two more goals to lead by five, just before the Amcats scored on a penalty kick goal off of a handball to close the deficit by four heading into halftime.

Regis added three additional goals in the second half to finish with a final score of 8-1.

Bridge led the Pride with three goals, earning her first collegiate hat trick and second hat trick of the season for Regis, while Hall finished with one goal and two assists. Sienna Santiago (Brewster, N.Y.) earned two goals and an assist, while Scanlon and Alexis Sherry (Salem, Mass.) coined one goal apiece.
