Women's Soccer Coins 4-0 Victory on Regis Fest

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College took care of business, clinching a 4-0 Regis Fest victory over Dean College in today's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup at Regis Stadium.

Regis immediately pressured the Dean defense, taking three shots just before Colleen Curran (Woburn, Mass.) met Sienna Santiago (Brewster, Mass.) with a pass to later find the back of the net for the first Pride goal. The Pride kept offensive pressure, taking seven shots just before the end of the first half, leading 1-0.

After a shot from Lisette Ayala, Regis gained possession of the ball where Delaney Scanlon (Dracut, Mass.) set up Santiago for her second goal of the match, leading 2-0. Just minutes later, Lea Bettencourt took a shot on goal but could not get past Pride goalie, Cassidy Van Cott (Santa Monica, Calif.).

Avary Hall (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) would add one of her two goals in the 70th minute after finding an opening in the box to take a shot, passing the Dean goalie. Just minutes later in the 76th minute, Hall was met with a cross from Janet Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) to increase the Pride lead, finishing with a final of 4-0.

Regis outshot Dean 23-5, while also leading 6-1 in corner kicks. For the Pride, Van Cott started the match in net and played the entire first half making one save. Alison Jerram (Waltham, Mass.) took over in the second half and was credited with two saves.

Haley Gaunt earned eight saves while facing 12 shots on goal for the Bulldogs.
