Avary Hall Named GNAC WSOC Rookie of Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - First-year forward Avary Hall (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) has been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, announced Monday, Oct. 23, by the league office after two stellar matches.

Hall played a major role as Regis extended its unbeaten streak to six matches with two victories over the past week. Last Wednesday afternoon, her crossing pass led to the first goal of the match just 3:33 into the contest, and she added an insurance goal in the second half as Regis defeated Lasell for the first time in program history, 3-1. Saturday, she notched her second brace and third multi-point performance in four matches with two second half goals in the Pride's 3-0 victory over Simmons.

For the season, Hall is second on the team with seven goals and 17 total points, plus she leads the team with 24 shots on goal and 48 total shots and is tied for the team lead with three assists. Her previous brace came against Norwich Oct. 11 as she scored two goals, including the first goal just 50 seconds into the contest, and she added an assist.

Hall becomes the first Regis women's soccer player to receive a GNAC weekly award since Daniela Mazo was named Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week Sept. 7, 2022. The six-match unbeaten streak has allowed the Pride to clinch a spot in the upcoming GNAC Women's Soccer Tournament, with the team's final seeding to be determined at the conclusion of the regular season.

Regis College (8-4-4, 7-3-4 GNAC) heads to Franklin, Mass., to face Dean College Tuesday, Oct. 24, beginning at 3 p.m.
