Regis Defeats Norwich, 8-0

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team defeated Norwich University in an outstanding 8-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference match on Wednesday at Regis Stadium.

The Pride were able to find the back of the net with five different goal scorers. Just 50 seconds into the match, Avary Hall (Bloomsfield Hills, Mich.) received a cross pass from Colleen Curran (Woburn, Mass.) for the first goal of the game. In the fourth minute of the match, Curran scored on a pass from Maeve Glavin (Norwood, Mass.).

Glavin extended the lead with an assist from Samantha Perkins (Whitman, Mass.). Less than five minutes following Glavin's goal, Olivia Dench (Center Moriches, N.Y.) placed a ball in the back of the net off a pass from Meadow Comeiro (Woburn, Mass.). Janet Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) scored on an assist from Hall to close out the half with the Pride leading, 5-0.

In the second half, Curran scored two more goals within five minutes of each other to complete her first career hat trick, with assists from Aleyo Amasa-Titus (Georgetown, Mass.) and Janet Amasa-Titus. Hall scored the final goal for the Pride off a pass from Reese Hatin (Hooksett, N.H.).

The Pride are scheduled to travel to Elms College Saturday, Oct. 14, with a 1:00 p.m. start.
