Women's Soccer Draws With GNAC Rival

BOSTON - Regis College battled Emmanuel College to a scoreless draw in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's soccer matchup Wednesday night at Clemente Field.

The Pride had three shots on goal with Emma Nunnemacher (West Boylston, Mass.) forcing the Emmanuel goalie to make two saves while Meadow Comeiro (Woburn, Mass.) took the other shot on goal.

Daniela Mazo (Bridgeport, Conn.) played the entire game in net for Regis, making six saves on eleven total shots by Emmanuel. Sandra Griffith and Patricia Kirejczyk split time in goal for the Saints, combining for three total saves.

Emmanuel outshot the Pride by a margin of 11-5 while also taking five corner kicks compared to only one for the Pride. With the tie, both teams are left with 8-2-1 records in conference play.

Regis College (9-4-2, 8-2-1 GNAC) next plays at Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, Oct. 22, beginning at 2:30 p.m. before returning to Regis Stadium for the final regular season game of the year against Dean College on Wednesday, Oct. 26, starting at 7:30 p.m.
