Regis Women’s Soccer Falls to GNAC Leading Wildcats

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Regis College lost to current conference leader Johnson & Wales University, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's soccer match at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex.

The Wildcats jumped on top just 1:24 into the match on an unassisted goal by Olivia Cairrao. Johnson & Wales increased its lead in the 16th minute when Jordan Restivo set up Hayley Viebrock for a tally, allowing the home team to take a 2-0 advantage into halftime.

Johnson & Wales added two more goals in the second half as Angelina Carrion and Sophia Silva were successful on their scoring opportunities. The Wildcats accumulated 17 shots, including eight shots on goal, led by Restivo with six total shots.

Ori Attridge (Westwood, Mass.) played the first half in net for the Pride and finished with three saves. Angie Caldwell (Goffstown, N.H.) came on after halftime and was credited with one save. Carly McCrumb earned the clean sheet for the Wildcats, earning one save during the contest as Regis was held to two total shots.

Regis College (6-4, 5-3 GNAC) hosts Simmons University Wednesday, Oct. 13, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Regis Stadium.
