ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Five members of the Regis (Mass.) women's soccer team were honored on Monday afternoon with All-New England Collegiate Conference nods. Senior Hannah Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and freshman Rachel Kelly (Whitman, Mass.) were named to the All-Conference Second Team, freshman Noelle Garcia (Los Angeles, Calif.) and sophomore Jenna Novio (Rockland, Mass.) were named Third Team All-Conference and freshman Kara Carchedi (Quincy, Mass.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
In her final season with the Pride, Hannah Bouvette was one of three players on the Pride to start all 19 games for her team. She tallied three goals and one assist on the season, the team's leading scorer among defenders. Joining Bouvette on the Second Team is Rachel Kelly, who served as the team's leading scorer in her rookie campaign. Kelly led the Pride in every major offensive category, including goals (11), assists (five), points (27), shots (73) and shots on goal (40). Three of Kelly's goals came in the NECC Tournament as well, earning the freshman a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Noelle Garcia was also a member of the NECC All-Tournament team after she tallied three assists in the Pride's quarterfinal win over Becker on Oct. 29. Garcia finished the season with one goal and five assists in 14 games playing the field. Garcia also served as the Pride's emergency backup goalkeeper when starter Amanda Matias (Ludlow, Mass.) went down with an injury. Garcia finished 3-1-1 in five games between the pipes. Garcia is joined on the Third Team by Jenna Novio, who saw action in every game for the Pride, making the start in 18 games. The team's primary corner kick taker, Novio finished the season with one assist on the season. She also recorded 11 shots, with three landing on goal.
Kara Carchedi saw her rookie season come to an abrupt and unfortunate end after just four games when the defender went down with a knee injury. Carchedi had an immediate impact on her team in those four games, recording an assist, her lone point of the season in her first collegiate game and recording four shots overall.
