FOUR PLAYERS EARN ALL-NECC HONORS

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team had four players named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference team and one player named to the Sportsmanship Team on Monday afternoon by the league offices. Senior Kristen Abreu (Woburn, Mass.) highlighted the Regis selections as she was named as the forward on the All-Conference Second Team.

Junior Hannah Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.) was also selected to the All-Conference Second Team as a defender while seniors Joana Rosa (Boston, Mass.), and goaltender Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) were named to the All-Conference Third Team. Freshman Caileigh Darragh (Florence, Mass.) was the Pride selection to the All-NECC Sportsmanship Team.

Abreu had a solid campaign during her final collegiate season as she did all of her damage against NECC teams. She scored two goals, dished out a team-high three assists and tallied seven points on the campaign. Abreu completed her successful career tied for second in Total Career Points (61) and Career Goals (25).

Bouvette finished the year leading the team in goals (6) and points (12) which tied career highs for the junior defender. Five of Bouvette's six goals came in conference contests as she ranked ninth in the NECC in goals during conference games. Bouvette netted two game-winning goals during conference games including the winning tally during a 1-0 victory versus Mitchell on October 3rd.

Joana Rosa earned a third team selection in her final season. She ranked second on the team in scoring with five goals, chipped in two assists and tied for the team lead with Hannah Bouvette in points. Rosa was just as effective in conference games as she tallied three goals and an assist versus conference opponents. Rosa had two multi-goal games this season against non-conference opponent Mount Ida and NECC foe Bay Path.

Gagnon, the most successful goaltender in program history, finished the year starting all 19 games in net for the Crimson and Gold. During nine conference contests, Gagnon played 836:27 minutes in goal, recorded a 1.29 goals against average which was good for fourth in the NECC, had a .793 save percentage that ranked fourth in the conference, 46 saves and two shutouts. Gagnon completed her Regis career finishing first in program history in career wins (37), first in shutouts (28), first in goals against average (1.01) and third in saves (412) while holding numerous single season records.

Caileigh Darragh played in 18 games for the Pride including 10 starts. The freshman defender scored her first career collegiate goal on October 20th during a 5-0 victory against Wheelock.
