PRIDE WRAP UP REGULAR SEASON WITH SETBACK TO ELMS

CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Regis College women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback to Elms College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference action in Chicopee, Mass.

The Pride wrap up the regular season at 5-11-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the NECC and await word on their NECC postseason opponent. Elms improves to 14-3-1 overall and 8-1 in the NECC, wrapping up the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

Angelina Estrada opened up the scoring for the Blazers with an unassisted tally in the ninth minute of the game. Michelle Rossignol added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute to round out the scoring for the home team.

The Pride were outshot 17-2 in the game, while the Blazers held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Joana Rosa (Boston, Mass.) and Kristen Abreu (Woburn, Mass.) took both shots on the day for Regis. Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) made nine saves in the setback.
