FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Regis College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Framingham State University on Saturday night in non-conference action in Framingham, Mass. The Pride fall to 0-3-1 on the young season, while the Rams improve to 3-1-0.

The Rams opened up scoring in the 26th minute when senior Marissa Miele (Hudson, Mass.) headed a corner kick from freshman Megan White (Charlton, Mass.) past the lunging Pride keeper.

The hosts added an insurance goal late in the game when White struck a onetime shot into the corner of the net from freshman Melissa Sybertz (East Bridgewater, Mass.).

Framingham State controlled the tempo for most of the contest outshooting the visitors 33 to 3. The Pride's best scoring opportunity came early in the first half when a corner kick was punched out by Rams keeper Sara Sullivan (Quincy, Mass.).

Sullivan made two saves in her third shutout of the season. Senior Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) made 13 saves in 90 minutes for the Pride. Joana Rosa (Boston, Mass.) took two shots for Regis, while Tais Salles (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) attempted the third.

The Pride host Suffolk University on Thursday, September 17th at 4:30 p.m.
