REGIS SOCCER ANNOUNCES CLASS OF 2019

WESTON, Mass. - Coaches Liz Conant and Taylor Smith and the members of the Regis College Women's soccer team are excited to welcome eight new players from the class of 2019 to the program.

Caileigh Darragh is a defender from Florence, Mass. and she attended Northampton High School. She made her high school varsity team as a freshman. Northampton won their league championship her freshman, sophomore, and senior year. She has played club for FC Massachusetts for the past five years. Caileigh intends to major in Business Management.

Lily Demers is a center back from Scituate, Mass. and she attended Cardinal Spellman High School. She played soccer all four years at Spellman, three at the varsity level. Her senior season, she was co-captain of her high school team.

Steph Ferreira is a central midfielder from East Providence, R.I. and she attended East Providence High School. She was a member of her varsity high school soccer team and was named captain her senior year. She has trained internationally in Brazil and played club for Black Watch Premier. She will be majoring in Global Business Management with a minor in Management Information Systems.

Victoria Flowers is a defender from Torrington, Conn. and she attended Torrington High School. She played club for FSA and is interested in majoring in Health and Fitness Studies.

Kassadi McPherson is a forward/midfielder from Winslow, Maine and she attended Messalonskee High School. Kassadi played high school varsity soccer as a starting forward/midfielder for four years. She was named KVAC- All Conference all four years. In addition, Kassadi was also listed in the Morning Sentinel on the athletic honor roll and named as one of the "players to watch" her senior year of high school. She also played club for Velocity Soccer for two years. Kassadi will be majoring in Nursing.

Jenna Novio is a defender from Rockland, Mass. and attended Rockland High School. She made the varsity team, starting as a freshman. As a junior, she was named League All Star, EMASS All Star, Enterprise All Scholastic and Boston Globe Player of the Week, as well as making the Gates Media Super team. As a senior, she was named Enterprise All Scholastic and was awarded the NSCAA Senior Excellence Award and also served as one of her team's captains. She participated in the 2013 Baystate Games for the Southeast Team and was captain for the 2014 Baystate Games. Jenna played club soccer for the Scorpions Soccer Club and South Shore Select for 9 years. At Rockland, she scored four goals and had over 25 assists off of corner kicks and free kicks, which makes her the highest point scorer in 10 years to play for Rockland High School as a defender. Jenna intends to major in Psychology and Special Education.

Shaneika Jones is a forward from Springfield, Mass. and she attended Springfield High School of Science and Technology. She has played for her high school varsity team and during her senior season, she scored 14 goals and had 13 assists. She was ranked 7th as an overall scoring leader in Western Mass. and 4th in her division. She also made All-Tri-County her senior season. Shaneika will be majoring in Criminal Justice.

Mackenzie Palma is a midfielder from Stoughton, Mass. and she attended Stoughton High School where she made the varsity team as a freshman. As a senior, she was one of three varsity captains and was named Student Athlete of the month for her performance on the field as well as her dedication to academics. Mackenzie will major in Nursing at Regis.

The Regis College women's soccer team kicks off its 2015 campaign on Tuesday, September 1, with a 1:00 p.m. home game against MCLA.
