ROSA HIGHLIGHTS SIX ALL-NECC SELECTIONS

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team had six players named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference Teams on Monday morning. Junior striker Joana Rosa (Roxbury, Mass.) led the selections with an All-NECC First Team nod.

Sophomore Hannah Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.), senior Jasmin Vivar (Attleboro, Mass.), and freshman Tais Salles (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) were named to the All-Conference Second Team, while senior Jackie Rocheville (Salem, Mass.) and junior keeper Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) grabbed Honorable Mention selections.

Rosa was the driving force behind the Pride attack this season, netting a team-best eight goals, five of which were game-winners which led the NECC. The junior finished 10th in the NECC with four goals during conference play, and she was second in the league with three game-winning-goals. Overall, she ranked seventh in the league with her eight tallies.

Bouvette, a Second Team selection, started in all 19 games for the Pride. Bouvette finished second on the team behind Rosa with six goals and 12 points, which were both career highs for the sophomore defender. She also netted the game-winner during the October 25th contest against conference rival Becker College. The sophomore finished 6th in the NECC with five goals during conference play and finished 10th in points (10) as well.

Vivar, a senior co-captain, earned her second consecutive Second Team selection. She scored three goals and added two assists which was good for eight points. One goal and one assist was scored during a conference game. Vivar ends her collegiate career ranking 2nd in program history in assists (14), 6th in points (42) and 8th in goals (14).

Rounding out the second team selections is Tais Salles. Salles played in 14 games while starting seven for the Pride. Salles finished fourth on the team in goals (4) and points (8). She also ranked second on the squad in game winning goals (2). Three of Salles four goals came in conference play including her game winner against Wheelock on October 22nd.

Senior co-captain Jackie Rocheville started in 71 games during her Regis career and added seven goals, 11 assists and 25 points. She was the last line of defense for the Pride defensive unit, stalling the opponents from going on any runs downfield in the Regis zone. She also handled corner and free kick chances as well.

Junior goalkeeper Rachel Gagnon rounds out the All-Conference Team selections for the Crimson & Gold. She finished the season with an outstanding 11-6-2 mark while recording nine shutouts and 98 saves. In conference play she was even more impressive going 7-2-0 and recording seven shutouts. During conference play, Gagnon ranked 1st in NECC in wins and shutouts, 3rd in goals allowed (5) and goals against average (0.56) and 10th in saves (27).
